  Large open rooms with modern art . For my taste a serious under use of the potential of the building. It needs a bigger collection and a more coherent display strategy.

  Fascinating, diverse and eclectic exhibitions presented in an imaginatively extended space that lets the gallery reach out into the surrounding park. The art garden was full of enticing scents even in the chilly February sunshine. I missed the old displays of Arts & Crafts movement work, but the refurbished space alone was worth the visit. Light, airy (and very popular) cafe with a wide selection of hot and cold drinks including craft beers, cakes and light meals.
