  My wife and I visited the Café at M & S at the Fort, Manchester this afternoon. We ordered a Mocha Coffee, a Cappuccino and two toasted teacakes. By the time we had eaten our teacakes my wife's cappuccino had a half inch gap between the top of the cup and the foam that had reduced. The remaining foam was another half inch thick before you got down to the coffee. My wife went back to complain and was told in no uncertain terms that a Cappuccino was meant to have more foam than coffee and there was nothing wrong. Another was offered but my wife refused as the member of staff was clear that it would be made exactly the same.
  
  We have been purchasing cappuccino in this cafe for years and we have never seen one that has this much foam ever. The attitude of the staff member was unprofessional to say the least and shows that if this was typical it explains why the Café is not as busy as it has been in the past.
  
  I complained to M & S Customer Services who sent me and full and detailed instructions on how to make a cappuccino. How patronising! Customer Services also said they had contacted their staff in MALVERN to give them feed back! All I was after was an apology but all they have done is lost another two previously loyal customers.
