  Went for the mid week lunch menu. Generally very satisfied with the service and food. Portions were small but this was to be expected from a lunch menu. The wine was very good, but you pay for it. Again, this is expected and not a criticism.
  
  We were looked after and our needs were met even when the restaurant got very busy.
  
  The sea bass starter was very good but doesn't seem well complemented by the green tomatoes, the puree went well with the fish though. The thin tomato sauce didn't add much to the taste and was a little too watery.
  
  The main was cod. This was excellent, the dish worked well with the ingredients. The sauce was quite buttery, but everyone will have different preferences on this. The 'butteriness' of the sauce was by no means over powering though.
  
  The Manchester tart was great. It all worked really well with the tastes and textures coming together. My only criticism of this would be the the sauce was perhaps a little too sour for my palate.
  
  All in all a really pleasant experience and I will be returning in future. Thanks.
